Application Instructions:

Corpsmembers who complete a full year of service and complete the CCC’s core training program requirements are eligible to earn the CCC Brad Duncan Scholarship worth $2000. An additional second year scholarship of $2000 is available to qualified corpsmembers.

The CCC Brad Duncan Scholarship can only be used to further education or training after completion of one year in the CCC. It expires two years after a corpsmember leaves the CCC. The scholarship can be used to cover tuition, books, supplies, transportation, room, and board.

The California Conservation Corps welcomes young men and women from all backgrounds. Once enrolled, expectations are high. Corpsmembers emerge from the CCC with character, credentials and commitment.

Men and women joining the California Conservation Corps must be:
18-25 years of age
California resident
Not on parole or formal or supervised probation
Free of convictions for a serious drug or violent crime
Able to successfully pass fingerprint & background check, drug test, physical exam and training
Willing and able to work outdoors in all types of weather and conditions
Willing and able to respond to emergencies and be away from home or assigned center two weeks or longer
Willing and able to participate in the CCC education program

Veterans joining the California Conservation Corps must be:
18 – 29 years old
Honorable Discharged or General Discharged under Honorable Conditions
Able to pass a fingerprint & background check, drug test, physical exam, and training
Willing and able to:
Work outdoors in all types of weather and conditions
Be away from home while working on remote projects
Respond to emergencies up to 21 days at a time
Participate in CCC education and volunteer requirements
